Lang is
currently a Category 2 road racer (and none too shabby on the triathlon
scene when he chooses to make an appearance). He has been riding bikes
since the tender age of 5, and competing in endurance sports for over a
decade. He started dabbling in road racing as a Junior in high school,
while pursuing track and cross country running, before switching to
cycling full-time.
While new to coaching, Lang has a broad base of experience in Junior,
Collegiate, and Elite/NRC level road racing, and holds a BA in Biology
from Swarthmore College (2005). The resident Cycle U "power guru", Lang
has been training and racing with power for over a year, and is looking
forward to teaching the upcoming series of Cycle U classes "Training
and Racing with Power".
Lang raced for Recycled Cycles/Raleigh this past season, but will be racing for AxleyUSA.com Elite Team in 2007. He also works as purveyor of cycling bling (high end gear) at Triumph Multisport and knows how to turn a wrench and make bikes fly.
