Cycle U 'Cross Team
Our Cycle U 'Cross, Mountain and Road Teams had a great inaugural season, the Triathlon team is growing fast. Read on for more info on this great new opportunity to try racing with Cycle U!
Hello Riders!
Thank you for expressing interest in our Cycle U Racer Development
Team and/or Cycling Club. There will be four distinct teams, a Road team, Mountain Bike team, Cyclocross team and Triathlon team along with our Cycling Club. You are welcome to be apart of one or all of our teams here at Cycle University. In order to be on each team you must meet the requirements for each team before becoming a member of that team. (You will find the requirements on page 10 in this handbook.)
Team Cycle U will be comprised of recreational riders up thru all levels of racing with the focus on developing beginners who are looking to improve rapidly in a structured environment and represent Cycle University and showcase our coaching and training methodology. We are looking for quality people who have a balanced yet serious focus on improving their cycling and are willing to be coached. The goal of this program is creating riders prepared and ready to race well by giving them more entry-level guidance so they can more easily feed into existing racing teams when ready.
The Cycle U Cycling Club will be formed in support of the Racer
Development team. Membership to the club is open to all interested
parties for a nominal membership fee. The focus of the club will be on
enjoying cycling, and improving as a group. The club will support
riders as they progress from the recreational level up through
beginning race categories. Everyone that joins will start in the Club until they meet their requirements for their team, and then they will be moved up to that team. Benefits include discounted Cycle U team
kit, discounts on Cycle U services, training and special pricing on select
sponsor products, to be announced. The club has no racing
requirements.
We hope you are as pumped as we are about launching this exciting
new program that brings Cycle U yet another step closer to our
mission: “to make our community a better place through endurance
sport”. Please let us know if you have any questions the below
documents fail to answer.
Spin to win,
